Ferry advisory: Batangas–Mindoro sailings remain affected after Super Typhoon Inday

Sea travel between Batangas and Mindoro—including Puerto Galera and Calapan—remains disrupted. Passengers should check with ferry operators and expect schedule changes as authorities continue to assess conditions.

Travel between Batangas and Mindoro continues to be disrupted as authorities monitor sea conditions following Super Typhoon Inday (also known as Bavi). There is no official confirmation yet that all no-sail restrictions have been lifted, and the Philippine Coast Guard may still suspend or limit ferry operations depending on weather and wave reports.

Passengers planning trips to or from Puerto Galera, Calapan and Batangas should treat sailing schedules as tentative. Even if the weather appears to improve locally, ferry times can change at short notice for safety reasons.

What travellers should do

  • Contact your ferry operator before leaving for the port to confirm your scheduled sailing.
  • Allow extra travel time to account for delays or rescheduling.
  • Monitor official announcements from the Philippine Coast Guard, Batangas Port, and your ferry company.
  • Do not attempt sea travel if authorities have declared conditions unsafe.

Tayo Dito will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as ferry operations fully resume.
